A Woman's Brew - Episode 008 - Subscription Services

Delivery from Coffee & Cask!

Full disclosure ahead of you listening - in this episode, Joanne and I are provided with 50% of our beers from a fab female owned and operated coffee shop and craft bar called Coffee and Cask. We were provided 1 box and bought the second one from their gift box and/or subscription service they currently offer. Check them out ahead of the Christmas season (they are currently offering advent calendars!) here at Coffee & Cask's website. Having dealt directly with one of the owners - Zoe - I would personally recommend (more about them featured in the beginning of our podcast).

Full haul outside the box

In episode 008, Joanne and I open up the episode discussing the our haul we each received from Coffee & Cask and our feelings on what we've been provided by this service. We also start the episode off giving the brief understanding of who Coffee & Cask are, how they started, why we are fans of them, and what they offer. From there we crack open 3 cans to sip on while discussing the good, the bad and the ugly of subscription services. Firstly, we address subscription services provided by breweries - which seems to be a new hot trend due to the pandemic. We look at their value for money ahead of moving on to discuss all types of subscription services we are aware of and their value for money comparatively. We dig in deep to the services we've personally tried, what we liked, and what we loathed. After covering those bases firmly, we then briefly move onto one-off services or places that are great to get gift sets before ending on our overall feelings on subscription services, what we use them for, and who we feel they'd work best for. Wanting to find out what might work best for you?? Give it a listen.

The 3 beers I settled on for recording - Thanks again, Zoe!
